About me? Haha, well, I love mermaids, and yes, I'm obsessed with H2O and Aquamarine. I'm a happy-go-lucky person (most of the time, that is), and I move around every 5 or so years thanks to Dad's job. As far as being near the ocean, I was born and raised in Portland, OR, then my family moved to WA when I was 5. So, maybe if you count Seaside Beach? Haha though the ocean water there is FREEZING; I could barely get my feet wet (my most recent visit to Seaside was summer of 2010) The closest I've ever been to real, warm, comfortable ocean water was when I was in Hawaii. I was 8, and it was part of a family vacation. I'm 16 now, and all the memories from that vacation are all on tape, anything else is gone. I had an awesome time there, but the one thing I wish I could do is go back. Go back and swim. I was staying on the island of Oahu, and the beach we went to was Waikiki. I would probably give just about anything up to go back. It was beautiful. I do, however, remember that I never was fully submerged in the water there. Even at 16, I still have never been fully submerged in ocean water. Going to the beach is like a vacation type thing where it only happens every few years, and I envy the people who could go to the beach any day they'd like... The last time I even swam in a pool was nearly a year ago, before I moved. I don't crave swimming as much as I thought I would've, but if I could go swimming for hours in the ocean surrounded by warm water, that's probably where I'd be happiest.
