Hello! I have issues with meditation too sometimes, but I have been doing it for about five years now. The best advise I ever got was to focus only on the feeling of breathing for about a minute. That means don't count or think "inhale, exhale". Just in and out, I like to focus on the sound. Then once you are a bit more relaxed count backwards from ten and imagine walking down ten steps. With each step relax a part of your body. I start with my feet and go up. Hopefully this helps, feel free to message me if you'd like to ask questions
